Job summary

ADB Companies, LLC is seeking a Level II Technician, Splicing, to perform mid-level fiber optic splicing on aerial, underground, and ISP projects nationwide. The role requires safety-first behavior, a strong work ethic, and a customer-centric mindset to meet project requirements.

The candidate should have 1–5 years of splicing experience, OSHA-10 certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months), and a valid driver's license with potential for a DOT medical card.

Qualifications

• Fiber optic splicing experience required (1-5 years)
• OSHA 10 certification required or ability to acquire within 6 months
• First-aid/CPR certifications preferred
• Valid driver license with ability to obtain a DOT medical card required
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Performs mid-level splicing on aerial, underground, and ISP cable routing
• Reads construction prints and splice matrices to meet requirements
• Determines equipment needs and safe cable routing in live facilities
• Performs mid-sheath cable entry with proper tools
• Handles mid-level single and ribbon splices with large cable counts
• Reads test results and troubleshoots basic issues
• Performs OTDR and power meter testing
• Installs/researches procedures for splice enclosures
• Manages cable relocations and hot cuts while keeping order
• Communicates with trainees, customers, subcontractors to provide solutions
• Responds to outages with appropriate urgency
• Maintains safety practices and PPE usage
• Performs other duties as assigned

Education

OSHA 10 certification

First-aid and CPR certifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Valid driver license with ability to obtain a DOT medical card
