Job summary

TotalMed is seeking an Echocardiogram Technologist for an immediate travel opening in Cincinnati, OH. The right candidate will have 1 year of experience, BLS, ARDMS-RDCS or CCI-RS certifications, and be able to work 10-hour shifts across 40 hours per week.

The role requires educating patients, performing quality echocardiographic studies, and maintaining equipment and records. TotalMed offers weekly pay and comprehensive benefits for travel staff.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families about procedures.

• Acquire Stress Echo and Dobutamine images per standards.
• Perform transesophageal echocardiograms as required.
• Interpret and report findings with physician input.
• Maintain equipment and sanitization per protocol.
• Maintain accurate patient records.

We are looking for an Echocardiogram Technologist (Echo Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Cincinnati, OH. The right Echo Tech must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

Tasks

• Educate patients and/or patient's family regarding procedures performed
• Demonstrate competence in performance of echocardiographic studies
• Consistently perform quality Doppler and color Doppler Exams
• Acquire quality Stress Echo and Dobutamine images according to Physician and benchmark standards
• Perform quality Trans esophageal echocardiograms according to physician expectations
• Demonstrate an understanding of cardiac disease processes and acquired images
• Report findings or concerns to reading physician for prompt interpretation
• Perform all related processing required for each completed study
• Maintain equipment including cleaning and disinfecting according to department procedure and identifying problems with equipment and reporting appropriately
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARDMS‑RDCS or CCI‑RS National Certification and state‑specific licensing when required.

Echo Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. Echo Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
