Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Cardiac Sonographer (Echo Tech) for a 13-week assignment in Northampton, Massachusetts. The role requires 1 year of Echo experience, BLS, ARDMS-RDCS or CCI-RS certification, and state licensing as needed.

This travel position offers 40 hours per week, with eight-hour day shifts and a focus on high-quality cardiac imaging. Responsibilities include operating the echocardiography machine, preparing patients, and ensuring accurate studies for physician

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Echo Tech experience.
• BLS, ARDMS-RDCS or CCI-RS certification required.
• State licensing may be required where applicable.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, with good anatomy and physiology knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Operate cardiac ultrasound equipment and ensure high-quality images for physician interpretation.
• Prepare patients for echocardiograms and provide patient education about procedures.
• Document findings and communicate with reading physicians for timely interpretation.
• Maintain and disinfect equipment per department procedures and report issues.
• Maintain accurate patient records and use McKesson PACS for image management.

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Cardiac Sonographer for a travel job in Northampton, Massachusetts.

We are looking for an Echocardiogram Technologist (Echo Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Northampton, MA. The right Echo Tech must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

Tasks

As an Echo Tech, you will be responsible for the use of the cardiac ultrasound machine and ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation. Echo Techs are also responsible for the preparation of and caring for patients undergoing echocardiograms.

• Educate patients and/or patient's family regarding procedures performed
• Demonstrate competence in performance of echocardiographic studies
• Consistently perform quality Doppler and color Doppler Exams
• Acquire quality Stress Echo and Dobutamine images according to Physician and benchmark standards
• Perform quality Trans esophageal echocardiograms according to physician expectations
• Demonstrate an understanding of cardiac disease processes and acquired images
• Report findings or concerns to reading physician for prompt interpretation
• Perform all related processing required for each completed study
• Maintain equipment including cleaning and disinfecting according to department procedure and identifying problems with equipment and reporting appropriately
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARDMS-RDCS or CCI-RS National Certification and state-specific licensing when required.

Echo Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. Echo Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
