A leading travel company seeks a Travel Experience Specialist to join their luxury sales team. With a focus on outbound and inbound sales, this role requires consultative selling skills and a passion for travel. We’re seeking someone who has top-notch phone and computer skills, as well as an inherent desire to help guests choose to travel with us on a handcrafted trip of a lifetime.(Not required, but bonus points for you and us if you have lived abroad or have solid travel experience.)
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
·Outbound sales to highly qualified prospects who have expressed interest in traveling with us as well as VIP guests who have previously traveled with us
·Inbound sales as prospective guests contact us by phone and email to plan their trips with us
·Access and update guest information in our computer system using Hubspot and Salesforce
·Keep clear notes and concrete next steps for prospect follow-up
·Demonstrate outstanding consultative selling skills
·Follow and achieve the department’s sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
·“Go the extra mile” to assist guests and support sales
·Contact guests to answer questions and take new reservations
·Collaborate with Tour Operations, Marketing, and other members of our team (e.g. assisting with guest travel plans, providing guest quotes for social posts, etc.)
·Suggest ways to improve sales (Growth oriented: identify additional opportunities for growth and revenue within leads when applicable)
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
·Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 5+ years of experience in B2C sales
·Luxury travel sales experience
·Enjoyment in providing top-notch, high-touch customer service
·Understand consultative sales
·Energetic, dynamic, positive, and professional with excellent verbal and written communication skills
·Knowledge and use of proper email and telephone etiquette
·Ability to accurately multi-task while meeting deadlines
·Goal-driven, self-motivated, and able to work independently
·Strong PC skills including Microsoft Outlook, Salesforce, and Hubspot or similar CRM
·Friendly, upbeat, and competitive personality with a passion to talk about travel
SALARY & BENEFITS:
This is a commission position. Anticipated annual compensation/on-target earnings $80,000 -$100,000 ($30,000 base + approx. $50,000 commission) + excellent benefits:
