Job summary

Porter Dental & Braces - a Benevis company travels to multiple offices in the Baltimore area to provide Expanded Services Dental Assistant support. You will assist clinical staff while traveling to sites including Baltimore, Brooklyn Park, Takoma Park, Salisbury, Hagerstown, and VA locations.

This role requires MD Radiology Certification and Expanded Services experience, and involves M-F schedules with two Saturdays per month; miles, hotel, and travel meals are covered.

Qualifications

• MD Radiology Certification and Expanded Services experience required.
• X-ray certification preferred according to State and individual practices.
• Graduation from a senior high school or GED equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality and compassionate care to every patient.
• Guide parents of minors and patients through treatment processes.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and provide postoperative instructions.
• Prepare patient for examination and treatment.
• Take x-rays and save to patient charts (location dependent).
• Responsible for the operational readiness of the hygiene bay and operatory rooms.
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures.
• Mix amalgam, cement, pulp paste, and prepare impression materials.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, chairs, and rooms.
• Assist dental staff with treatment: document patient information, plans, and procedures.
• Assist with suctioning, retractors, and suture cutting during surgical procedures.
• Pour, trim, and polish impression casts.
• Fabricate custom impression trays.
• Maintain compliance with regulations and company programs.
• Other duties as assigned.
