Job summary

Benevis is seeking an Expanded Services Dental Assistant to travel among offices in the Baltimore area, Brooklyn Park, Takoma Park, Salisbury, Hagerstown, Falls Church VA, and Winchester VA. Travel miles, hotel stays, and travel meals are covered. Schedule is Monday–Friday with two Saturdays per month.

MD Radiology Certification and Expanded Services experience are required. Join a mission-driven team delivering high-quality dental care across multiple communities in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in Oral Surgery, Endo, Sedation Dentistry.
• X-ray certification preferred.
• CPR-BLS certification required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality and compassionate care to every patient.
• Guide parents of minors and patients through processes before treatment.
• Educate patients in oral hygiene and provide postoperative instructions.
• Prepare patient for examination and treatment.
• Take x-rays and save to patient charts (location dependent).
• Ensure hygienic readiness of the hygiene bay and operatory rooms.
• Prepare tray set-ups for dental procedures.
• Mix amalgam, cement, pulp paste, and prepare impression materials.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, chairs, and rooms.
• Assist dental staff with treatment and document patient information.
• Assist with suctioning, retractors, and sutures during procedures.
• Pour, trim, and polish impression casts; fabricate custom trays.
• Adhere to regulations and company standards; perform other duties.

• Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, chairs, and rooms
• Assist professional dental staff with treatment:
• Document patient information, treatment plans, and procedures in patient chart
• Assist with suctioning, holding retractors, and suture cutting during surgical procedures
• Pour, trim, and polish impression casts
• Fabricate custom impression trays
• Perform to the highest integrity by adhering to all government regulations, company standards, and company compliance programs
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Graduation from a senior high school or GED equivalent required
• Experience in Oral Surgery, Endo, Sedation Dentistry
• X-ray certification preferred according to State and individual practices
• CPR-BLS CertificationPerform to the highest integrity by adhering to all government regulations, company standards, and company compliance programs
• Other duties as assigned
