Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for an Emergency Department assignment. Requires 2+ years of experience and ARDMS/BLS certification. A license may be required depending on state rules.

The role includes OB/GYN, vascular, abdominal and small parts exams using PACS, Philips and Siemens equipment. Night shifts are 3x12 hours (Fri-Sun, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). The position involves travel, with housing allowances and licensure reimbursements offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience as Ultrasound Technologist.
• ARDMS certification and BLS required.
• License required if applicable.
• Experience in OB/GYN imaging including all trimesters, amniotic fluid index, fetal survey, and placenta previa.
• General ultrasound skills including abdominal organs imaging.
• Experience with renal/pelvis, bladder, ovaries, uterus, and vaginal ultrasound.
• Vascular imaging including venous studies and DVT.
• Small parts imaging including superficial masses, testicles/scrotum, thyroid.
• Hernia and Head NICU imaging experience preferred.
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of ultrasound scans in the Emergency Department.
• Cover adult, pediatric, obstetric, ICU and NICU patient populations.
• Work night shift: 3x12 hours, Fri-Sun 7:00 PM–7:00 AM.
• Enter data in Cerner; use PACS with Philips and Siemens equipment.
• Perform portable ultrasound scans across departments as needed.
• Adhere to drug screening upon arrival and other site requirements.
• Travelers are preferred; local candidates within 50 miles will not be considered.
