Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN for Trauma ER - Emergency Room in South Charleston, West Virginia. The role is a night shift with 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week on a travel assignment at a busy hospital.

Requirements include WV or compact RN license, 1+ year ED experience, and BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC certifications. Benefits include comprehensive insurance, 401(k), per diem, and travel reimbursement. Start 01/12/2026 for 13 weeks with a tax-free stipend to be determined.

Qualifications

• Active WV or compact RN license.
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience.
• Certifications in BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS, and TNCC.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced trauma ER.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the ED for trauma, STEMI, stroke, and critical cases.
• Manage patient load with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio.
• Operate and monitor cardiac devices; use EPIC EMR.
• Collaborate with team including ER techs, charge nurse, and RT.
• Provide triage, fast track, and handle holds.
• Document patient care and shift handoffs as required.
