Job summary

TotalMed RN in Louisville, KY is seeking an Emergency Room RN for a travel assignment. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of acute care experience and is ACLS, BLS and PALS certified, with a willingness to work 12-hour night shifts and 36 hours per week for 14 weeks.

As an ER travel nurse, you will evaluate, triage and implement care under physician directions, document patient histories, monitor vital signs and provide compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience.
• Emergency Department RN experience preferred.
• ACLS, BLS and PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, triage and implement care following physician instructions.
• Monitor vital signs and maintain patient comfort in a fast-paced ED.
• Document medical history and care plans for each patient.
• Assist with wound care, IV therapy and discharge planning.
