Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing‑Nursing seeks a travel ER RN for a 13‑week assignment in Austin, TX. The role offers 36 hours per week with night 12‑hour shifts, competitive pay, and comprehensive benefits. Start ASAP with ongoing clinician support and a focus on high‑quality emergency care.

The ER RN will assess, triage, and treat patients in a fast‑paced ED, documenting care in EMR and collaborating with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure patient safety and outcomes.

Qualifications

• One year of ER RN experience
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC Certification

Responsibilities

• Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity
• Explain emergency procedures and treatments to patients and families
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to emergency nursing protocols
• Prepare equipment and aid physicians during emergencies
• Monitor patient comfort and safety throughout the ED stay
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
• Adhere to hospital safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
