Job summary
Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Travel ED Registered Nurse for night shifts in Lewiston, Maine. You will oversee ED operations and nursing staff during assigned shifts, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities include staffing, scheduling, patient assignments, and rounds with patients and families to support a positive experience. Requires current RN license, BLS/ACLS and PALS on hire, plus ED experience.
Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN License
- BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
- ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
- PALS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
- Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting, E.D. setting required
Responsibilities
- Oversees ED operations and nursing staff during assigned shifts.
- Ensures safe, high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance.
- Manages staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments.
- Supervises, coaches, and supports staff development.
- Assists with performance management and HR-related activities.
- Monitors supplies, equipment, and unit readiness.
- Coordinates patient flow, admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Addresses patient care concerns and escalates issues as needed.
- Rounds with patients and families to support a positive experience.
- Provides direct patient care when needed to maintain safe staffing levels.
