Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ED – Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Reno, Nevada. This position requires an active RN license, a nursing degree, and 18 months in an Acute Care ED, with shifts of 12 hours, nights, 36 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS & TNCC may be required in some positions.
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Emergency Room setting.

Responsibilities

• Emergency Room registered nurses provide care for patients from various illnesses or trauma requiring emergency attention and must be able to recognize and treat life‑threatening conditions.
• Assess, intervene and stabilize a variety of trauma and illnesses with decisive action.
• Be knowledgeable about general as well as specific health issues for urgent treatment and care.
• Understand triage to prioritize injuries based on medical need.
• Make quick and accurate assessments about incoming patients, including physical and mental health conditions.
