Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN for the ED in Hazel Crest, Illinois. The assignment runs 13 weeks with 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts, starting 10/05/2026. You will care for a diverse ER population in a busy urban setting, focusing on trauma, sepsis, stroke, and urgent conditions.

Required are BLS/ACLS, 3+ years ER experience (including travel ER). Excellent patient care and teamwork are essential; EPIC experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 3 years ER experience, including at least 1 year in travel ER settings.
• Active RN license in Illinois.
• Preferred: PALS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency care in a 24-bed ED.
• RN: 1:5 patient ratio; night shift coverage with variable start times.
• Operate within EPIC EMR; monitor patients and respond to trauma cases.
• Collaborate with ER staff and hospitalists to ensure patient safety.
