Job summary

A healthcare staffing agency is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Emergency Department in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. This position requires at least 2 years of nursing experience and active Maryland RN licensure. The role includes providing care in a high-volume setting and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Benefits include health insurance, a 401(k) with a match, and various travel reimbursements. This is a 13-week contract position with night shifts lasting 12 hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a registered nurse in a hospital setting.
• Experience with emergency department nursing is preferred.
• Previous charge experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients in the MS/Tele-ER border area.
• Monitor patients and manage interventions based on assessment and clinical protocols.
• Float between emergency departments and medical/surgical/telemetry units as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses in accordance with established protocols.
