Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Cookeville, TN. The right RN should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience and be prepared for a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift.

As an ER Travel Nurse, you will evaluate, triage and implement care under physician instructions in a fast-paced environment, staying vigilant for patients of all ages and backgrounds while maintaining documentation and patient comfort.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years recent acute care experience.
• ER/ED nursing experience preferred.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Travel nursing assignment length is 13 weeks.
• 36 hours per week; 12-hour night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent patient evaluation and triage in a fast-paced ED.
• Perform basic bedside care and wound care.
• Administer IV therapy and monitor patient vitals.
• Document medical history and care plans.
• Coordinate with physicians and care team.
