Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an Emergency Room RN for travel assignment in Washington, DC. This 13-week travel contract requires 36 hours per week with 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced ED setting, and candidates should have 1-2 years of acute care experience.

As an ER Travel Nurse, you will assess and triage patients, administer care, document histories, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with a diverse care team to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• ER RN with 1-2 years of acute care experience.
• ACLS, BLS, NIH, TNCC, PALS certifications required.
• May require additional certifications before assignment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, triage and implement care following physician instructions.
• Provide basic bedside care, wound care, IV therapy.
• Monitor vital signs and patient well-being; document medical history and allergies.
• Work in a fast-paced ER environment and communicate with a diverse care team.
