Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Emergency Department in San Antonio, TX. This 13-week assignment requires a 36-hour work week with 12-hour night shifts, starting ASAP. The RN will care for adult patients, perform assessments, and work within fast-paced emergency protocols.

Qualified candidates hold Texas RN licensure and multiple certifications (ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC, ENPC, NIH). Meditech EMR experience and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Current Texas RN license required.
• ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC, ENPC, NIH certifications required.
• Experience in emergency/trauma setting preferred.
• Expertise with Meditech EMR.
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in an adult emergency setting.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and established protocols.
• Manage airway and respiratory procedures such as oxygen administration and intubation support.
• Perform nursing assessments, including trauma assessments and neurological checks.
• Participate in trauma resuscitation and critical care protocols, including massive transfusions and STEMI alerts.
• Ensure proper documentation of patient care in Meditech EMR.
• Coordinate transfers and educate patients on care plans.
