ARMStaffing in Salem, Virginia is seeking a travel nurse RN for the ED to join a fast-paced, high-acuity department on a 13-week contract. The role requires 36 hours per week, with 12-hour night shifts from 19:00 to 07:00, and a travel employment assignment. Ideal candidates have 2–3 years ER experience, completed travel assignments, and BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC certs; ENPC/NRP/NIHSS preferred. ARMStaffing provides strong support and benefits.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of ER nursing experience in high-acuity settings.
• Completion of at least 2–3 travel assignments.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC.
• Preferred: ENPC, NRP, NIHSS.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Manage patient care, including RSI, sepsis interventions, and stroke protocol with tPA administration.
• Perform central line placement and provide care for psychiatric patients.
• Ensure EMTALA compliance when transferring patients to other facilities.
• Collaborate with RNs, medics, and charge nurses for optimal outcomes.
