Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in Salem, Virginia. This role involves fast-paced, high acuity ER care with rapid assessment and collaboration across disciplines.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years ER experience, holds BLS/ACLS/PALS and TNCC, and may have ENPC/NRP. Assignment runs 13 weeks, with 36 hours per week on a night shift (7p–7a) and potential stipends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of Emergency Room experience.
• 2-3 travel assignments preferred.
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS; TNCC.
• Preferred Certifications: ENPC, NRP, NIH Stroke Scale.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in a high acuity ER setting managing 4-6 patients per RN.
• Perform advanced medical procedures including RSI, sepsis interventions, stroke protocol with tPA administration, and central line placement.
• Caring for psychiatric patients and facilitating their transfers per EMTALA guidelines.
• Ensure accurate documentation in EMR - Meditech.
• Function as a team player, collaborating with medical staff for high-quality patient outcomes.
