Job summary

HealthForce Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 12-week ED travel assignment in West Chester, PA, starting 10/29/2026. The role offers 36 guaranteed hours weekly with three 12-hour night shifts (7:00 pm–7:00 am) within a health-system environment.

The ideal candidate holds a Pennsylvania RN license (or eligible), BSN, BLS, ACLS, and PALS, with 3 years of ED experience; trauma experience is preferred. Orientation on 10/15 and 10/29; temp-to-hire potential may exist.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Pennsylvania or eligible to obtain.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• BSN degree required.
• Minimum of three years ED nursing experience; trauma experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the ED, including rapid assessment, triage, stabilization, and ongoing monitoring of acuity-based conditions.
• Administer medications, manage IVs, analgesia, and emergency interventions per protocols and supervising clinicians.
• Coordinate patient movement with imaging, labs, and specialty services; prepare for procedures and communicate with patients and families.
• Document care in the electronic medical record; ensure accurate handoffs during shift changes and collaborate with the ED team.
• Apply trauma and resuscitation principles; maintain patient safety and infection control per guidelines.
