Job summary

TotalMed is seeking a travel nurse RN in Urbana, Illinois for the ED. The ER RN will work 12-hour night shifts, full-time travel assignment, and handle rapid assessment, triage and care coordination for acute patients.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in acute care, current ACLS/BLS/PALS, and comfort in fast-paced emergency settings. Travel roles include documentation, vitals, and ongoing patient support across shifts.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years recent acute care experience required.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required prior to assignment.
• Emergency Department RN experience preferred.
• Travel nursing experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, triage and implement care per physician instructions.
• Perform basic bedside care and monitor patient status.
• Document medical history and vital signs; manage wounds and IV therapy.
• Communicate with patients and families; ensure safety in fast-paced ED.
