Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a Level II Trauma Center in Maryland. Active MD or Compact RN license required; 3+ years ED experience preferred. Epic EMR experience is required and travel experience is a plus.

You will work 3x12-hour evening/mid shifts (15:30–04:00) with every other weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled. Responsibilities include triage, EKG interpretation, IV therapy, and care for patients with chest pain, stroke, sepsis, trauma, and

Qualifications

• Active MD or Compact RN license required.
• Minimum 3 years ED experience; 4-5 years preferred.
• Level II Trauma Center experience required; Level I preferred.
• Travel experience preferred; first-time travelers considered with 5+ years.
• Epic charting system experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide ED care for all ages in a Level II Trauma Center.
• Manage 1:4 patient ratio, up to 1:5 for lower acuity groups.
• Perform triage, EKG interpretation, splinting, and isolation precautions.
• Utilize equipment like Belmont rapid infuser and Lucas device.
• Travelers are prioritized for floating within scope; no on-call required.
