Job summary

TotalMed RN seeks an Emergency Room travel nurse (RN) for Hartford, CT. The role is a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week, 12-hour day shifts, in a fast-paced ED environment. Immediate start preferred, RNs with 1–2 years of acute care experience are encouraged to apply.

The ER RN will triage, treat and document patient care, manage vital signs, IV therapy, wound care and patient education. Certifications in ACLS/BLS/PALS/TNCC are commonly required for this assignment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience.
• ER travel nursing experience preferred.
• ACLS/BLS/PALS/TNCC certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, triage and implement care per physician instructions.
• Provide basic bedside care and monitor patient status.
• Document medical history and vital signs; advise patients and families.
