Job summary

TotalMed RN in Cedar Rapids, IA seeks an Emergency Room travel nurse to support an ED with 12-hour days on a 36-hour weekly schedule. The RN should have 1–2 years of acute care experience and current ER-ready certifications.

duties include triage, assessment, documentation and patient education in a fast-paced setting. Applicants should be capable of handling a high-stress environment while delivering compassionate care and ensuring patient safety.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience in ER or urgent care.
• ER/urgent care exposure preferred.
• ACLS, BLS, TNCC, PALS certifications required or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, triage and implement care according to physician instructions.
• Document medical history and allergies, monitor vitals and progress.
• Provide basic bedside care and assist with procedures as needed.
• Maintain patient safety and support emotional well-being of patients.
