Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Urbana, Illinois. The assignment runs for 13 weeks with a 36-hour workweek and 12-hour shifts.

Active RN license and a degree from an accredited nursing program are required, with potential need for BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC depending on the client facility. Travel rewards and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Degree from accredited nursing program
• BLS, ACLS, PALS & TNCC may be required in some positions
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Emergency Room setting
• Other requirements to be determined by our client facility

Responsibilities

• Responsible for assessing, intervening and stabilizing a variety of trauma and illnesses with decisive action.
• Due to the range of medical conditions that may require urgent treatment and care, they must be knowledgeable about general as well as specific health issues.
• Properly understand triage in order to prioritize injuries based on medical need.
• Able to make quick and accurate assessments about incoming patients, including both physical and mental health conditions.
