Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in the Emergency Department. This 13-week assignment features 36 hours per week, 12-hour evenings, and requires an active RN license with a degree from an accredited nursing program.

Must have 18 months of recent Acute Care ER experience; BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC may be required. Additional client-specific requirements may apply and travel credentials are covered by the agency.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the appropriate state.
• Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS & TNCC may be required in some positions.
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Emergency Room setting.
• Other requirements to be determined by our client facility.

Responsibilities

• Assess, intervene and stabilize a variety of trauma and illnesses with decisive action.
• Must be knowledgeable about general and specific health issues in urgent care.
• Properly understand triage to prioritize injuries based on medical need.
• Make quick and accurate assessments about incoming patients, including physical and mental health.

Duties Responsibilities

Emergency Room registered nurses (RN) provide care for patients from various types of illness or trauma requiring emergency attention and must be able to recognize and effectively treat life-threatening conditions

• Responsible for assessing, intervening and stabilizing a variety of trauma and illnesses with decisive action.
• Due to the range of medical conditions that may require urgent treatment and care, they must be knowledgeable about general as well as specific health issues.
• Properly understand triage in order to prioritize injuries based on medical need.
• Able to make quick and accurate assessments about incoming patients, including both physical and mental health conditions.
