• **Experience and Qualifications:**- 3 years of experience preferred, travel experience required, no first-time travelers accepted- Will consider less experience; travel experience preferred- Previous charge experience- Patient ratio experience: 4- Charting system experience required, EPIC experience preferred- Trauma Level II experience preferred
• **Certifications:**- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)- BLS (Basic Life Support)- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)- CPI* (Crisis Prevention Institute)*- MAB* (Management of Assaultive Behavior)*- ENPC* (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
• **Clinical Skills:**- Experience managing a variety of conditions such as abdominal pain*, acute psychosis*, asthma*, burns*, drug overdose*, head injuries*, infection*, near drowning*, neuro-trauma*, and more- Skills in procedures like arterial line management, central line care/management, intubation*, phlebotomy, procedural sedation administration/monitoring*, and management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure- Proficient in interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs)*, dysrhythmias, and obtaining 12 lead EKG/ECG- Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management*, continuous IV sedation, isolation precautions/PPE*, IV vasopressors, management of dysrhythmias, managing violent behavior*, starting and maintaining IVs, and triage
• **Licensure and Documentation:**- License in-hand required before start- ACLS/BLS/NIHSS/Nursys required with submission- Availability to complete needed lab items within 72 hours of accepting offer or have a plan in place for completion
• **Scheduling and Orientation:**- 36/48 hour alternating schedule; 84-hour biweekly guarantee- Scheduling Type: block- Orientation Hours: 48
