Job summary

Confidential is seeking a Travel ED Registered Nurse for the Lewiston, Maine area to cover Night shifts in the Emergency Department. This 12-week assignment involves supervising ED operations, staffing, and direct patient care to ensure safe, high-quality care and regulatory compliance.

Required: active RN license in the state, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and at least 1 year of ED nursing experience in an acute care setting. Compensation is per shift with a Maine-specific estimate.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license in the applicable state.
• BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintained.
• PALS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintained.
• Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital ED setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversees ED operations and nursing staff during assigned shifts.
• Manages staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments.
• Supervises, coaches, and supports staff development.
• Assists with performance management and HR-related activities.
• Monitors supplies, equipment, and unit readiness; coordinates patient flow.
• Addresses patient care concerns and escalates issues as needed.
• Rounds with patients and families to support a positive experience.
• Provides direct patient care when needed to maintain safe staffing levels.
