Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an Emergency Department RN for a night shift in Washington. Requires WA or compact RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC certifications, and at least 1 year ER experience.

Knowledge of Epic EMR is preferred and experience with arterial lines, central lines, and critical care procedures is expected. Position includes 3x12-hour night shifts (7 PM–7 AM), potential travel within the health system, and a generous housing allowance plus travel and licensure reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of ER experience required
• BSN preferred
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Ventilator care experience preferred
• ABG interpretation, IV therapy, central line care
• IV starting
• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
• IV vasopressors administration
• Procedural sedation administration/monitoring
• PICC line experience preferred
• Two professional references from past 2 years with at least one supervisor
• Proof of WA state license application required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Level II Trauma Center with Stroke and Cardiac Center designation
• Emergency Department treating diverse patient cases
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Performs sedations, arterial lines, chest tubes, sepsis protocol, STEMI, and tPA administration
• Cares for patients requiring anticoagulant reversal, seizure management, and emergent EVD care
• Manages blood pressure with vasopressors such as Levophed, Phenylephrine, and Dopamine
• Epic EMR experience required
• Night shift: 19:00–07:00, 3x12-hour shifts
• Floating within the health system as needed
• Provide emergency nursing care across wide range of acute/trauma cases
• First-time travelers welcome; travel experience preferred but not required
• Local candidates must reside >60 miles from facility
• RTO disclosures and up to 3 days for auto-offer positions
• Start date can be delayed up to 8 weeks if WA licensure is in progress
• Orientations held bi-weekly
