Job summary

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Grand Island, Nebraska. This ER position involves providing acute care in a high-capacity Emergency Department with 21 beds, trauma bays, and specialized rooms.

You will manage urgent cases, triage effectively, and ensure rapid patient processing. Requirements include multiple certifications (ACLS, BLS, ENPC, NIHSS, NRP, PALS, TNCC), an active RN license, and at least 2 years of ER experience.

Qualifications

2+ years ER experience required.
ACLS, BLS, ENPC, NIHSS, NRP, PALS, TNCC certifications required.
RN license active and valid.

Responsibilities

Manage a busy ER with 21 beds, 2 trauma bays, 1 resuscitation room and triage areas.
Ensure timely patient management, triage, and rapid rooming of patients.
RN staff can manage ER holds; pediatric readiness certification is required.
RT staff perform ABGs and breathing treatments; ED nurses handle EKGs and monitor patient strips.
Transport services coordinate imaging; labs are drawn by nurses.
