Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in New Mexico, requiring a NM or Compact license and prior ER experience.

The role includes a 9-bed ED in a 47-bed acute care facility, team nursing with 9:2 patient ratios, and shift coverage from 7pm to 7am. A thorough orientation occurs weekly, with travel rate eligibility for those living 60 miles or more from the facility.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (NM or Compact) required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent ER nursing experience required.
• Fingerprinting and background check required per New Mexico state regulations for all clinical staff.
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 9-bed Emergency Department within a 47-bed acute care facility.
• Treats all patient populations including adult, geriatric, and pediatric cases.
• Team nursing model with 9:2 patient ratios.
• Uses MedHost EDIS for electronic documentation.
• Emergency nursing care to a wide range of patient acuities and diagnoses.
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays.
