Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a travel Electrophysiology Technician for a 13-week assignment in Louisville, KY. The EP Tech will assist physicians in cath lab procedures, monitor ECG, and ensure patient safety throughout interventional cardiac cases.

Requirements include 1 year of EP tech experience, BLS/ACLS/PALS as applicable, RCES or RCIS certification, and state licensing where required. Weekly pay and standard travel benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of experience.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS if applicable, RCES or RCIS certification, and state-specific licensing when required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with cath lab procedures and contribute to cardiac diagnosis within scope of practice.
• Maintain sterile technique and assist as scrub person.
• Continuously monitor ECG and report abnormal rhythms to physician operator.
• Monitor and record intracardiac and intravascular pressures.
• Establish and maintain communication with patient for comfort and safety during the procedure.
• Demonstrate competency in arrhythmia identification and hemodynamic changes during interventional procedures.
• Document procedure details in lab documentation system including hemodynamic data and treatment plan.
• Practice radiation safety per protocol and use McKesson PACS system.
