Job summary

Healthforce is seeking an Endoscopy Tech – GI Lab Tech for a travel assignment in San Luis Obispo, CA. The 13-week position starts October 26, 2026, with a 40-hour work week (days).

You will assist gastroenterologists in GI procedures and support adult and geriatric patients under RN supervision. Responsibilities include preparing rooms and equipment, maintaining sterile technique, and ensuring patient safety and comfort before, during, and after procedures, while navigating a hospital GI lab

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a hospital GI lab under RN supervision.
• Comfort caring for adult and geriatric patients.
• Available for a 13-week travel assignment.
• Willingness to work a day shift (40 hours/week).

Responsibilities

• Work in the GI lab under the direction of registered nurses.
• Assist gastroenterologists with GI procedures.
• Prepare procedure rooms and equipment and maintain sterile technique.
• Support patient care before, during, and after procedures; monitor patients.
• Handle instrument sets, transport specimens, and assist with room turnover.
• Maintain safety, comfort, and positioning of patients during procedures.
