Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Endoscopy for a travel nursing job in Wheeling, West Virginia. This Endoscopy RN assignment is a 13-week contract with 40 hours per week and a 10-hour shift schedule.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license, a nursing degree from an accredited program, and BLS/ACLS certifications, with at least 18 months of recent acute care endoscopy experience.

Qualifications

• Active RN License is required.
• Degree from accredited nursing program is required.
• BLS Certification is required.
• ACLS Certification is required.
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Endoscopy setting is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs assessment/data collection in an ongoing and systematic manner focusing on physiologic, psychobiologic and cognitive needs of the patient/family.
• Provides technical assistance during diagnostic and therapeutic Endoscopic procedures, ensuring safe working practice.
• Maintains personal contact with patients and relatives, ensuring courtesy, dignity and privacy in a friendly environment.
• Stores, checks and administers medication in accordance with standards and guidelines.
• Maintains timely and accurate nursing records and ensures confidentiality.
• Works with minimal supervision during endoscopic procedures, admission and recovery of patients.
