Job Details

• Location: Bakersfield, California
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts (3:00 PM - 3:30 AM), days off every other week (EOW), first to float between two facilities. Shifts include weekends and may require float between facilities with a 2-hour notice.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications include Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS). Candidates must have a minimum of 0 years of experience, hold an active license to submit, and reside within a reasonable distance of the facility.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in an emergency room setting and team-oriented approach.
• Additional Information: This facility rarely holds psychotropic holds longer than 12 hours and utilizes the Mobile Evaluation Team (MET). ER nurses may be expected to manage MedSurg Tele patients and handle fluctuating patient volumes. Their primary focus is emergency care without accommodating other work schedules. The facility is a designated stroke center and handles a high volume of patients daily. Cancellations can occur up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.
