Job Summary

Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) position in a healthcare facility. The role involves providing acute care to patients across all age groups in a Level 2 Trauma setting. The position requires self-scheduling shifts, with specific weekend and holiday requirements, and involves working nights on a rotating basis. The RN will be involved in patient care duties including operating within a dynamic, fast-paced environment and drawing labs when necessary.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Shifts include 7p-7a nights, with additional shifts available from 7a-7p, 9a-9p, 11a-11p, 1p-1a, and 3p-3a, as well as rotations for weekends and holidays.
• Required Qualifications: Valid license to submit, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications. A minimum of 2 years of ER experience is required. Candidates must pass a pass/fail exam during orientation, with an overall score of 90% to pass. A valid drivers license is required at submittal to verify radius and distance constraints.

  • Candidates must adhere to the departments fingernail policy, which prohibits artificial nails.
  • The position involves the support role for aids, EMTs, and paramedics, with responsibilities including lab draw procedures performed by RNs.

  • RTO (Reasonable Time Off) requests must be submitted upfront for up to 7 days per 13-week contract; no additional RTO will be granted.
  • The hospital can cancel up to four shifts per 13-week assignment.
  • The charting system used is EPIC.
