• Region's only designated Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center – Accredited by American College of Cardiology (ACC) Accreditation Services for Chest Pain Center and Heart Failure and American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer.

Job Requirements

• Must have 5+ years of experience in Emergency Department.
• Required certifications prior to start: ACLS, BLS, Handle with Care, NIH, PALS or ENPC.
• Sovah Health - Martinsville & Danville Facilities require consent for random drug screening and completion of a Criminal Questionnaire/Consent Form.

Schedule Information

• Shift: 9A - 9P.
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours.
• Weekend Hours: Rotating Weekends/As Needed.
• Call Requirements: No.
• Orientation is bi-weekly on Tuesdays.

Unit Specific Information

• Floor: Emergency Room.
• Trauma Level: N/A.
• Number of Beds: 31 beds and 2 Triage rooms; 7 of the 31 are utilized as Behavioral Health or Acute patients.
• Patient Ratios: 1:4 – 1:6; exceptions may occur during high volume or special circumstances.
• EHR: Primarily MedHost (ED) and Meditech for admit holds and behavioral health patients.
• Supervisor: Director of Emergency Services.
• Role: RN.
