Active Iowa nursing license or multistate license is required, along with 36 months of current ED experience, and proficiency with tele strips and IV drips including sedation/vasoactive meds. OT not required; floating across campuses is expected.

Job Summary

Emergency Room (ER) specialty nurse position located in an urban healthcare facility. This role involves providing emergency care to pediatric and adult patients within a fast-paced environment. The position requires flexibility to float across multiple campuses and adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards.

Job Details

Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications: Active Iowa nursing license or multistate license, 36 months of current Emergency Department experience, proficient in reading, measuring, interpreting tele strips, and experience with drips including sedations and vasoactive medications.

Preferred Qualifications: Level I trauma experience, Level II trauma experience, EPIC electronic medical record experience, recent performance evaluations, and references from within the past 24 months.

Certifications: TNCC, BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA).

Experience: At least 36 months of current ED experience, with preference for trauma experience and pediatric care.

Additional Information: Candidates must be able to work 1-2 of the upcoming three Winter holidays unless the unit is closed. Floating across all campuses is required. Orientation is scheduled for 11/9/2026. No weekend call or on-call required.
