Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN with at least 2 years of ER experience and an active WA or compact RN license for night shifts at a Level III Trauma Center.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department of a short-term acute care hospital with Level III trauma designation
• Every other weekend required
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4
• No on-call or floating between units within the facility required
• All travelers may be required to float between facilities within the state
• Epic EMR is used and prior experience is required
• Scrub color is any color; surgical services/scrub tech positions are provided attire
• Main responsibilities include providing emergency nursing care to diverse patient populations in a Level III trauma environment
• Returning permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live more than 50 miles from the facility
• Minimal to no time off is permitted, and all requested time off must be approved at the time of application
• No cost for staff parking

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ER nursing experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Two supervisory references covering one year of employment in a comparable specialty within the last three years required
• Experience with Epic EMR required
• Social Security card, driver’s license, and proof of COVID/Flu vaccination are required for consideration
