Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a KS or compact RN license and AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Emergency Department of a hospital
• Day shift from 07:00 to 19:30
• Unit sees a high volume of behavioral health patients
• Uniform requirement is ceil blue scrubs
• Provides direct patient care and implements patient care plans
• Serves as the primary coordinator for patient care and carries out physician and nursing orders
• Assesses and coordinates patient discharge planning
• Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment are required for this fast-paced environment
• Orientation will include completion of on-site crisis intervention training
• All candidates must comply with facility dress code and documentation requirements
• COVID vaccination is not required for this position
• Local candidates are accepted but may receive a reduced rate depending on facility radius rules
• Candidates may only apply to one position within the health system at a time

Requirements
