TotalMed RN in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a travel nurse RN for our Electrophysiology Lab to support patient care in a fast-paced EP suite.

As an EP Lab RN you'll assist physicians during procedures, monitor equipment, and help with ablations, pacemaker/defibrillator implants, and EP studies while maintaining a focus on safety and patient comfort.

Qualifications

• Active RN license and at least 1 year of EP Lab experience.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with EP procedures, including diagnostic studies and therapies.
• Maintain and monitor EP lab equipment and support therapeutic interventions.

We're looking for Registered Nurses (RN) for an immediate travel opening in Cedar Rapids, IA for our Electrophysiology(EP) Lab.

The right RN should have at least 1 year of experience in an EP Lab setting. Read below for more details.

As an EP Lab RN, you'll work with a highly skilled team of medical professionals in the EP lab providing assistanceto the physician, including maintaining and monitoring of equipment, as well as assisting with therapeutic anddiagnostic procedures.

As an EP Lab Travel Nurse, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Learn complex technologies effectively
• Assist physicians with procedures that diagnose and treat heart rhythm problems
• Assist with ablations, pacemaker and defibrillator implants, cardioversions, loop recorder implants andmore
• Assist with diagnostic studies such as cardiac mapping and EP studies

EP Lab Travel Nurses should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoopwithout difficulty. RNs should be able to easily lift 20 pounds. Moving or lifting of patients may require lifting of upto 50 pounds at times. Because of the fast-paced environment, EP Lab Travel Nurses must possess good skills forcoping with stress and be able to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Requirements*: ACLS, BLS, 2 Years * Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
