Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Electrophysiology Lab in Cedar Rapids, IA. This 13-week assignment offers 36 hours per week and day shifts, with travel compensation and a tax-free stipend to be determined.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of EP Lab experience and hold ACLS and BLS. You will assist physicians, maintain equipment, and support ablations and pacemaker/defibrillator procedures in a fast-paced EP lab.

Qualifications

• EP Lab experience is required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Registered Nurse with EP Lab exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with EP procedures that diagnose and treat heart rhythm problems.
• Maintain and monitor EP lab equipment and supplies.
• Support ablations, pacemaker/defibrillator implants, cardioversions, and EP studies.
• Provide patient care and documentation in a fast-paced EP lab.

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Electrophysiology Lab for a travel nursing job in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

We're looking for Registered Nurses (RN) for an immediate travel opening in Cedar Rapids, IA for our Electrophysiology(EP) Lab.

The right RN should have at least 1 year of experience in an EP Lab setting. Read below for more details.

As an EP Lab RN, you'll work with a highly skilled team of medical professionals in the EP lab providing assistance to the physician, including maintaining and monitoring of equipment, as well as assisting with therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.

As an EP Lab Travel Nurse, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Learn complex technologies effectively
• Assist physicians with procedures that diagnose and treat heart rhythm problems
• Assist with ablations, pacemaker and defibrillator implants, cardioversions, loop recorder implants and
  more
• Assist with diagnostic studies such as cardiac mapping and EP studies

EP Lab Travel Nurses should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty. RNs should be able to easily lift 20 pounds. Moving or lifting of patients may require lifting up to 50 pounds at times. Because of the fast-paced environment, EP Lab Travel Nurses must possess good skills for coping with stress and be able to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.
