Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Normal, Illinois. The position offers a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week and 12-hour shifts in the Emergency Department.

Active RN license and a nursing degree are required. Candidates should have 18 months of recent ED Acute Care experience; BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC may be required by the client facility.

Qualifications

• Active RN license.
• Degree from accredited nursing program.
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Emergency Room setting.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS TNCC may be required in some positions.

Responsibilities

• Assess, intervene and stabilize a variety of trauma and illnesses with decisive action.
• Recognize and treat life-threatening conditions in the ED.
• Perform triage and prioritize care based on medical need.
• Provide prompt and accurate assessments of incoming patients including physical and mental health status.
