Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department assignment in Texas. Active TX or compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years ED experience are required. Navy scrubs and local radius provisions apply; first-time travelers welcome.

The position features a 13-week assignment on a 11:00-23:30 schedule, with Epic charting and direct patient care in a 55-bed ED- Trauma unit. Competitive pay, benefits from day one, and sign-on options are offered.

Qualifications

• Active TX or compact RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent ED experience required.
• BLS certification required (AHA).
• CN or NIH Stroke Scale certifications preferred (AHA where applicable).
• Current license and Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start.

Responsibilities

• 55-bed Emergency Department-Trauma unit.
• 13-week assignment with an 11:00-23:30 shift schedule.
• Uses Epic for charting.
• Deliver direct patient care in accordance with established ED policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans while recording and communicating patient status.
• Coordinate care across disciplines and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assist with discharge planning in coordination with the healthcare team.
