Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Independence, Missouri. The position is a 13-week assignment with 48 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift.

The ideal candidate will hold an active RN license, have a degree from an accredited nursing program, and meet/or anticipate required certifications (BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC). Previous ED experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active RN License is required.
• Degree from accredited nursing program is required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS & TNCC may be required in some positions.
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Emergency Room setting.
• Other requirements to be determined by our client facility.

Responsibilities

• Assess, intervene and stabilize a variety of trauma and illnesses with decisive action.
• Prioritize injuries based on medical need through triage and rapid assessment.
• Make quick and accurate assessments about incoming patients’ physical and mental health.
• Provide care for emergency room patients requiring life-threatening attention.
