Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Travel ED Charge Nurse in Lewiston, Maine, to oversee emergency department operations and staff during assigned shifts. This role offers days and nights shifts with a pay range of $1,491–$2,067 gross per week and a $3/hour differential.

The assignment is 12 weeks long, with an established track record of supporting hospital partners nationwide. Immediate opportunities include dedicated career specialists and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications on hire and maintained.
• Minimum of one year as staff nurse in an acute care ED setting; supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees ED operations and nursing staff to deliver high quality patient care.
• Manages staffing, scheduling and patient assignments.
• Coaches staff and supports performance development.
• Monitors supplies, equipment, and unit readiness; coordinates patient flow.
• Addresses patient care concerns and escalates as needed.
• Rounds with patients and families to ensure a positive experience.
• Provides direct patient care to maintain safe staffing levels.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current and valid state RN License
2. Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
3. Current ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
4. Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting, E.D. setting required.
5. PALS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
6. Previous supervisory experience, required.
7. Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting, E.D. setting required.
