Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Travel ED Charge Nurse for an acute care hospital in Lewiston, Maine. This 12-week assignment requires leadership of ED operations, staffing, and patient flow management to ensure high-quality care and compliance with standards.

The role offers days and nights shifts with competitive weekly pay, including a $3/hour differential. Prior ED supervisory experience and current RN license are required, along with BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintained.
• PALS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintained.
• Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting, ED setting required.
• Previous supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees ED operations and nursing staff during assigned shifts, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance.
• Manages staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments.
• Supervises, coaches, and supports staff development.
• Assists with performance management and HR-related activities.
• Monitors supplies, equipment, and unit readiness; coordinates patient flow, admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Addresses patient care concerns and escalates as needed.
• Rounds with patients and families to support a positive experience.
• Provides direct patient care when needed to maintain safe staffing levels.

Shifts Available: Days and Nights

Pay: up to $1,491 –$2,067 gross pay per week; equivalent to $41.44– $57.43 per hour.

Assignment Length: 12 weeks
