Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel Echo Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Portland, Maine. The position offers 40 hours per week, primarily 10-hour day shifts, and a travel contract with housing allowance.

Start date is 10/12/2026, with weekly pay and credentialing support. The ideal candidate will have accredited training in cardiac technology and ultrasound, plus an echocardiography program, and will perform 2D echoes, M-mode and Doppler with preliminary interpretations

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited training course in cardiac technology.
• Successful completion of an accredited training course in cardiac ultrasound.
• Interpretation skills to facilitate a comprehensive examination and an accurate preliminary interpretation.
• Graduate of a cardiac echocardiography technology program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for examination and perform 2D echoes, M-mode and Doppler studies.
• Prepare preliminary interpretation of those studies.
• Maintain records of echo studies.
• Assist supervising physicians with resident and fellow training.
• Knowledge of multiple echocardiography platforms and technology.
• Read and follow physicians' orders and procedures.

Duties Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the supervising physicians in the Non-Invasive Cardiology Lab, prepares patient for examination, performs all 2-dimensional echoes, M-mode and Doppler studies.
• Prepare preliminary interpretation of those studies.
• Prepare and maintain records patient to echo studies.
• Assist supervising physicians with the training of residents, fellows, faculty and other physicians.
• Knowledge of multiple echocardiography platforms and technology.
• Ability to read, interprets, apply, and or follow physicians orders, policies, procedures, or written and verbal instructions.
