Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing seeks a Travel Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) specializing in Echo and Vascular for a 13-week assignment in Norfolk, Virginia. The role involves performing high-frequency ultrasound exams, prepping patients, and collaborating with clinical teams.

Applicants should have an accredited Ultrasound Technology program, at least one year of experience, BLS, and a state license; ARDMS/ARRT/CCI credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program.
• Minimum of one year of recent Ultrasound Technologist experience.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Valid Ultrasound license per state regulations.
• ARDMS certification preferred.
• ARRT Sonography certification preferred.
• CCI credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to integrate diagnostic imaging into patient care plans.
• Prepare and position patient for accurate imaging while prioritizing comfort and safety.
• Perform ultrasound examinations of general and vascular studies.
• Evaluate images for clarity and accuracy.
• Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment for safety and accuracy.
• Apply technical expertise and critical thinking to perform sonographic procedures.
• Work efficiently in fast-paced environments with professionalism.
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with regulations.
