Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Echo Technologist for a 26-week assignment in Hilo, Hawaii. The Echo Tech will operate ultrasound equipment, perform complex echocardiography studies, and ensure accurate images for physicians.

The role requires 1 year of experience, BLS, and ARDMS/CCI certification with licensing where required. The position involves patient education, image acquisition, and coordination with physicians, with on-site responsibilities and a rotating 8-hour shift.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in echocardiography
• BLS certification is required
• ARDMS-RDCS or CCI-RS certification and state licensing may be required

Responsibilities

• Operate echocardiography equipment and ensure image quality for physician interpretation
• Prepare patients for procedures and educate patients/families about the process
• Perform quality Doppler, color Doppler, Stress Echo and Dobutamine imaging as directed
• Maintain patient records and equipment, and report issues promptly
• Collaborate with reading physicians and ensure proper PACS workflow
